I had to perform a firmware upgrade before mine printed and it can not print while charging at least not below 30 that i found

Printing takes about 60 seconds the picture will go through a 4 pass process you can see it develop since it extracts the photo out and back in 4 times for each pass and you can see your photo improve with each pass

This prints with a dye sublimation technology which means there is no ink
