When you flush the toilet the centre mechanism rises to open the valve and release water but the overflow pipe remains static

You do have to lift the system off the pan to install it so it is quite time consuming by the time the cistern is drained disconnected and reinstalled

The flush settings should be adjusted prior to installation because it can be difficult to get to them afterwards

Replaced existing flush mechanism with this

You have to take the cistern off with modern close coupled toilets to get to the plastic nut that holds the flush system in place grrr so the instal time on the instructions are optimistic
