According to the manual the siren should be mounted on the south or west side of your building

I contacted manufacturers customer service and they advised me to install the siren on the east side so it gets only morning sun

Theres also a mechanical switch which arms the siren device when installed against a flat surface

If you accidentally disarm the mechanical switch while mounting the siren the siren will blast for its max scheduled time no matter if you try to turn it off remotely or disarm the alarm system

So you have to pull out the siren aa batteries to reset it and get the siren to quit
