Only negative is that the area where one places coins was difficult to access without spilling out the cellphone or passport as the zip is small and your fingers cannot get in to retrieve the coins quickly

Your cellphone will fit if he doesnt have a protective case like an otterbox on it

The passport holder worked great the only issue is the little zipper pouch for coins is too small to be very functional
