All you need todo is cut the cable to required length the cut back the external protective layer approx 20mm exposing the internal shielded copper wire trim the internal shielding by 5mm exposing the copper wire then thread on the f plug connector
They only need to be screwed on to the cable and within two minutes i had a working cable connection in the other room
