Nassim taleb is the creator of the black swan theory, which was a very influential way of thinking about trading and investing. Taleb outlines his look at the modern world.
Skin in the game’ is a contemplation of the impact those with skin in the game have on others as well as the deleterious impact of those who don’t. A system that weeds out incompetence and other bad characteristics gets better over time.
Nassim masterfully joins together the two. He lives by a bunch of handy heuristics which keep him out of trouble.
