If its not tightened enough or if it displaces the o ring then it will slowly lose pressure

When you can manage to get a good seal takes a few tries as the pressure slowly decreases if the seal is not perfect it works as advertised

Not sure what some people are complaining about as the one i received does maintain its seal until it bumps into something with the pump removed
