Cons

Mary roach's writing style is very random, wandering, and discursive. Roach does not have some talent as a writer. Maybe stiff and bonk are really all roach had in her. The book is more anecdotal than anything else.

If ever a book deserved absolutely no praise, this is certainly one. The book reads like a very bad david sedaris knock off. As a researcher, this shows terribly bad form--you do not insult those who have been kind enough to help you write the book.
