The fabric is thick, it covers not only the neck but also the chin, so it is very warm. It is the best because it protects the neck even at 6 degrees below freezing. This gator restricts your side to side movement a tad.
These are the best neck gators on the market! However, it is worth every penny! This is the only piece of sitka gear i own and it’s amazing.
One size fits all, worked perfect for both of us. Not too tight or loose. Perfect fit even with my beard. My only complaint is that i wished it was more stretchy.

It is soft but has no warmth or wind resistant. The slightest breeze blows right through this.

I did not feel that there was much stretch in the fabric on this so it wont go much over your mouth at least not on my giant head

Deer hunters need their head on a swivel and this gator restricts your side to side movement a tad

The pictures gives the impression at least to me that the gaiter sort of flares out at the bottom or towards the area youd wear on the shoulder side
