Very smooth ball but the bottom rotation for panning is a bit gritty feeling

I use it with a relatively small panasonic video camera and it provides easy on and off of the camera after i realized i could just set the camera mount into the tracks instead of trying to slide it in and the ability to aim the camera just as i needed to

Though not stated the panning even has a pretty fluid feel though technically it isnt

If you like i have abandoned huge heavy dslrs from the likes of canon and nikon for the smaller lighter mirrorless systems from sony olympus fuji panasonic etc you know you no longer need a ballhead capable of sustaining a 10 load
