Pros & Cons

The consistency of this oil is too viscous. The smoke point is too low for it to be useful for oiling the gears of the hand crank on my vintage janome sewing machine.

The younger generations are no longer learning how important it is to have a bottle of this oil on hand because manufacturers are no longer providing oiling ports oiling cups or wicks on their appliances or reminding consumers of the importance maintenance which started as early as the mid 1900s so even most of the boomer generation hasnt heard of oiling a fan and will look at you weird for talking about it

Instead they remove oiling ports from motors and add a non resetable thermal fuse causing millions of appliances to get thrown away every year just because they werent oiled and no one knows that all they need to do is replace that thermal fuse and start oiling it
