Pros
The shape is brilliant fits well in my kitchen and the correct shape to fit the rubbish in for a small bin. The steel lid is better than the plastic lid on my previous bin. As far as bins go, this one is pretty classy.
We use the larger compartment for recyclable waste and the smaller compartment for general waste. The bin liners are fantastic as well - worth every penny - very strong and they never ever leak or break. The only thing i dislike is the cost of replace... Read More
Non touch action lid operated by a foot pedal is magically. People like the funny opening doors. Like the butterfly opening lid.
The stainless steel exterior is very easy to wipe down if anything gets spilled onto it. The locking top is a godsend and locks fully open. Easy to clean and replace bags for.
It fits nicely against the wall and looks neat & tidy. Looks good in the kitchen dining room. Nice and sleek in my new kitchen.
Cons
They are something like 25p per bag even buying in bulk. Bit fiddly. Non-existent customer relations. Design flaw and costs £15 to replace.

We use this bin daily the size and quality is perfect and it looks stylish in our kitchen
As usual with simplehuman the quality is excellent
Swing bins were a pain with the dogs press and pop up lids a nightmare with a plate of leftovers as you had to take the lid right off
Not a sign of finger marks and stays looking good although you dont need to touch with the foot peddle to open
Price
Hefty price but even hubby now says it was worth the cost
A good sturdy unit which is well worth the price
Packaging/appearance
We really like the separate compartments for seperating recycling and non recycling waste
Weve had the recyling version of this bin 2 bins inside for about 12 years and it still looks as good and works as well as when it was new
Competitiveness
It has a huge 50l capacity and seems to take much longer to fill than the previous bin
Easy to wipe with a damp microfibre cloth

They do not have biodegradable liners which seems poor for food waste which has to be removed from the standard plastic liner
