It gives water the boot in a hurry! Easy to install. Excellent pump, does what they claim. As they say, ymmv.

Cons
When it pumps for 5 seconds, it pumps strong. But it cycles like everyone has experienced. If it senses water, it continues to run until the water is pumped down to 1/4 deep.
The company says nothing in tbe owners manual about hose diameter or length. It seems checking amperage isn't a very reliable method. Note the warnings about extension cord length and low line voltage in the corrective actions section.

I had bought the flotec version of this pump which came with the check valve and i used it on this one
At the same time that also means construction installing a sump pump below floor level is also too expensive

I had the same issues as many have mentioned with not being able to get the pump to stop cycling on and off i returned it and the new pump same problem

I tried emptying my pop up pool for the season and found the pool liner was getting sucked up into the inlet and i figured this was causing the cycling issue

My pump had a check valve on it so maybe that helped

Flotec version had the same problem until i used the strainer and this was a on a basement floor
