Pros
Would recommend to anyone needing a compass. More than happy wth the buy. Nice and handy.
It's cost effective, robust, durable and reasonably foolproof and you don't need batteries. Although the main (outer) reading is in mils there is also an inner graticule in degrees. Perfect for instructing beginners.
Cons
An item of this condition should not have been dispatched in the first place. Pointless piece of kit, and falsely advertised.

This is the second one i have onwed the other one was 15 years old and some of the lettering has rubbed off finally bu still totally shows where north is
