So far so good there are reports of compasses getting denatured by stray magnetic fields and two of my other compasses have been corrupted

While the build quality is good i would say that the style and construction of the compass would mean that it is more suitable for hiking and other generic outdoor activities than say a military exercise where it is likely to be bashed about and may be damaged
