The story that unfolds is a nice love story enhanced by a bit of excitement with the attempted *, simon's scheming stepmother (and ex-fiancee) and simon's obsession to get revenge against jessica's evil stepbrother. Fyi this is technically not a clean... Read More

I was intrigued by both. The hero and heroine were fully developed. The heroine is courageous, intelligent, and well defined.

My only complaint. I especially appreciate the fact that it was clean and not offensive. Would recommend it to my friends and family.

Cons

There were one too many tstl (too * to live) moments from the heroine. The duke not one time calls simon out nor did he even knock him out for how he verbally abused and intimidated jessica in their home and presence.

Jessica is ashamed of her deafness. This is not close to that caliber. The only good parts of this story were overshadowed by jessica's fantastical lip reading.
