Small lightweight lens perfectly matching the a6000 model range. The zoom range is just fine if you are prepared to move your position when composing.

I like to keep a uv filter on my lens at all time that way i never need to bother with the lens cap
Despite the size the quality of th shots is absolutely fantastic – its not far off my f1
There is a huge difference in quality compared to the basic sony kit lens e pz 1650mm f3

For the price theres nothing else that comes close

The barrel does extend when zoomed so you would think its not great on a gimbal

But the light weight of the lens hasnt thrown my gimbal off balance at all even when changing from one extreme focal length to the other

Theres no image stabilisation and limited zoom range but compact size is more important than those features for me though i do wish it went a bit wider than 18mm

On this lens this gives you dark corners at the wide end so i have to remove one filter to put on another

This vignetting could have been cured by a larger filter size but sigma chose aesthetics over function
