In that case to fix it i had to unplug all of the usb cables to remove power from the kvm then plug them back in

To keep the price low they did cut some corner and didnt install any bulk capacitors for power distribution even though there are sites for them on the circuit board

Normally the video is actually bidirectional which allows the computer to see what kind of capability the monitor has

With the switch the computer has no idea what kind of monitor is hooked to it
