The sideswipe mixer blade is great for these small batches! It fits the bowl, scraping the the entire interior smoothly. The sideswipe flex edge beater blade works great. It really scrapes the bowl well.

The price is high for plastic! I hope others have fared better with this! Not true. This one is too small and does not scrape sides. I don't plan to reorder.
The beater does a nice job of clearing the sides but really? Apparently there are ksm5 mixers that have a narrow bowl. The kitchenaid mixer blade is more expensive, and yes it can develop a chip or two after some use.

It came quickly fits well and mixes things quickly
Within 3 days we received another shipment with the correct blade and return postage to send the wrong blade back
The day we received it i responded to them that the wrong blade was sent
Packaging/appearance
Instead of packing down the butter this actually scraped the sides and creamed the butter and sugar
Competitiveness
Not only does it fit but it works much better than the official kitchenaid scraper beater does
I bought it directly off the sellers website instead of amazon since they had a slightly better deal at the time

I got my kitchen aid professional 5 mixer from costco and the paddles that have the scrapers on the side never quite got to the bowl or the bottom of the bowl

I certainly would not say it does it scrapes the sides completely and i need to do one final scrape before removing the contents from the bowl
