Pros & Cons
Pros
Incredibly sharp -- almost effortless slicing. It holds it edge very well, but requires steeling daily to keep the edge aligned. It slices like a lightsaber through butter.
The 8 chef's knife is good for just about everything where you need the rocking action of the curved blade. Got this as a gift for someone in culinary school. Cooking is a joy with these knives.
Cons
If you want a razor blade that breaks, this is for you. Do not order this knife; it is most likely counterfeit.
Highlights
Quality
The quality of this knife is first rate and top knotch
He is very happy with the size and feel of this knife
Foods still stick with the scalloped sides youll want a knife that is more narrow to prevent sticking
If i hold it with the chefs grip my pointer finger gets too close to sharp edge while rocking through peppers etc
Price
Also the customer service is great ive sent my knives in for professional sharpening and all it costs is 5 for return shipping
Competitiveness
Highly sharpened holds the edge and annual free resharpening service if needed
Its very comfortable to work with im told its better than the santuko for the rocking motion
I have a miyabi fusion which is made of the same vg10 steel but is much more difficult to sharpen and hone and i rarely reach for it
