Pros & Cons
Pros
Great capo. Could never go back now.
Capo is 43mm wide at the nut which is pretty standard. Works great on acoustic or electric guitars. Works on my mother's mexican classical guitar and my yamaha classical guitar.
The shubb has a different mechanism that allows you to dial in just how much the capo presses down on the strings. Totally adjustable and the tone is the best i've gotten on my taylor. Easy to adjust the tension, preventing various string gauges from ... Read More
It's very good quality, and as a bonus it's very compact. Very well engineered and a joy to use.
Works much better than the large plastic scissor clip caps. They seem to have shorted the length a bit.
Cons
Used it for a day — *, broken. Adjuster knob got stuck and won't budge. No changing key in the middle of the song or quick song changes.
Highlights
Quality
Smooth to clamp and release keeps all strings clamped easily
Easy to clamp on and always holds great
All strings depressed consistently and evenly first try
Clipping onto the headstock is not an option

Best inexpensive capo available for my guitars
Only thing i on the fence about is the price but that’s just me
I dont remember the price but it was reasonable
Bought this for just under 15 and dont think i will need to replace a capo again
Shipping
I got this very fast in a couple of days
On the first shipment we received an empty shipping envelope
I wasnt sure whether to contact the shippers fedx and usps or to contact amazon
I contacted amazon and they sent a reshipment in two days and we got our capo on a sunday
Packaging/appearance
While i find the shubb deluxe s1 capo to be one of the best capos on the market i was very disappointed when i read the packaging
Competitiveness
They are the best and cost less than most other options
The shubb capo is the best adjustable capo on the market
I looked at some of the alternatives available these days and went back to the shubb
Ive used shubb capos for many years and havent found anything comparable in price or quality or functionality
