Pros

The shubb capo is easy to put on and take off and is sturdy yet elegant. It's unobtrusive, and adjustable so that you get just the right amount of squeeze factor. Adjusting the set screw with the tension * is very easy and moves slowly and steadily.

Shubb capo is very adjustable on the pressure that it exerts, and fits nicely on a 24 radius fretboard. Fits nicely on my takamine classical guitar.

Shubb clamp-on capo is built to last. Must sturdier than the plastic capos. Works as intended and will not lose its grip strength.

Great product. No complaints. Was recommended by my college professor. Highly recommended.

Knowing your capo will always be with your guitar is invaluable. This of course depends on the guitars humidity and other factors. Kept running across praise for the shubb c2.

Cons

On my yamaha classical with nylon strings, i adjust it as far open as it will go and still throws all strings out of tune by about +200 cents! The engineering of this thing is terrible.

I bought a similar product before and seemed they would hurt the strings and the ”neck”

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Regular capos typically do not work well on the wider neck

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

So tight i was worried about damaging the neck

I prefer the adjustable pressure over the spring style which is one level of pressure and thats it

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Line it up set your preferred pressure with the thumb screw and snap it shut

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I wasn’t aware that capos could be great

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I needed the extra pressure to get a decent sound on goodtime 6

If you are playing live and you have sets that need frequent capo position changes then you might want to consider a different style
