Pros
The writing is painfully persuasive. These short stories and essays of the authors life aren’t just hilarious they are relatable. Be hilarious and thought provoking, be funny and important, be shocking and real.
Lindy west is a hero. Not all hero’s wear capes and this woman is my hero. Lindy is intelligent, insightful, and doesn't suffer fools.
West's writing is fluid and moving. I appreciate that she speaks up on issues that people would normally shy away from like * and abortion.
Cons
I bought and listened to all the disks (they come as a set) hoping the quality and sensibility of the first disk would resurface. But this book is repetitive and not very funny. It wears on you to read an entire book about the misery of being fat.
She likens abortion to having * surgery and completely ignores the fact that many individuals see it as a moral issue. I hate that she's irreverent about really sensitive issues.

I didn’t know who lindy west was when this book was recommended to me and when i had first purchased a digital copy and had read that in record time i knew it was worth a physical copy as well
