Pros & Cons
Pros
It is not cloying or overpowering. The quality is unmatched! Out of the traditional this one it's great.
They tend to be on the lighter, more organic/earthy side. Very natural aromas of spices and resins. Best brand for ingredients and pure aroma.
These sticks burn cleanly and pleasantly. Many people complain that the incense is too brittle. However, it's on the stronger side overall, for japanese incense.
Golden pavilion is a standard in my incense box. Wonderful incense for any occasion. My favorite incense.
Excellent incense, smells warm and sweet, with a faint edge of sharpness to wake you up. Shoyeido's incense is consistently good, and high quality. I prefer their plum blossom or amethyst scent.
Cons
Even after burning the smell of smoke lingers in the room. It smells like soured dish rags with a smokey essence. Sticks are brittle and break easily.
