This is one honking dual band antenna. This is the second time i’ve owned a comet sg7900a antenna. It is tall but that's part of why it works so well.

The first one lasted for over 8 years of abuse 160000 miles of road abuse before the hinge mechanism broke with it mounted to the corner of the bed of my pickup truck

I switched back to a comet sg7900a because i have used one site to site at distances in excess of 125 miles with just an alinco dr635 50 watt transceiver

I ordered a replacement for my original k400 nmo mount without realizing i ordered the pl259 antenna not the nmo model… oops
