Pros & Cons
Pros
The 10gbase-sr transceiver works great in my unifi switch and my marvell fastlinq nic. Just plugged them in to the two sfp ports in my 26 port netgear switch (gs724tpp) they work with broadcom and intel chipset cards and work perfect in my switches. W... Read More
New gbase-t pcie network adapter rtl8125b. Hooked to modem via cat7, reconfigured the udm, and rebooted. Throughput is exactly what i'd expect. Definitely an inexpensive upgrade to maximize my broadband speed to the router.
Connected to qnap nas sfp+ -> cat 6 -< 10g base-t switch. Gb/s to my nas on a 10g sr port.
It works flawlessly. Just needs a thermal sensor.
Cons
The 10g single mode sfp+ lc module was marked by compatibility issues. It may not deliver the promised compatibility and ease of integration. Some connector issues where the rj45 male connectors do not always click into the female receptacle on the mo... Read More
Highlights
Quality
This works greate with the ubiquiti udm pro for my failover wan connection
I have a yuanley 9 port switch with the sfp uplink for edge use and this worked right away at 10 gbps with no issues
I updated both switches with the latest firmware 2
I originally purchased tha cable matters sfp ethernet module which did not work with the udm pro
Price
Works as expected and price is good
True name brand cisco modules cost 20x or 30x more and are semi constrained due to logistics and supply chain issues
Shipping
A to you great product fast shipping
They exchanged the modules with my only cost being the return shipping
Packaging/appearance
The packaging is unusual metal box but who cares
Seems the issue in my situation was isolated to the tplink tlsg3428 switch
Competitiveness
Worked as expected in a tplink switch
This was a lot cheaper than the 10gtek branded module that i was considering so that was a great bonus
Not sure about other ubiquiti products but these are definitely not compatible with uswaggregation
The product description says they are 34widely compatible34 with tplink products it just isnt wide enough to include the tlsg3428

Oddly after a time the processor drops off to normal and the switch is usable just dont put a module into port 25 and expect the switch to boot up next time you need to restart it

I hooked up to the switch console port and even the output from the switch is corrupted when a module is in port 25
