I think anything larger than 6 or 7 inches would be fine in this net anything smaller you may risk it getting through the hole opening on the bottom of the net

This is a very nice feature especially when fishing multiple fly rigs where the lead fly or the dropper fly is flipping around when youre trying to deal with the fish in the net
