Just tried this combination with an sd vintage 54 for the bridge and its amazing the quality and richness of tone

Once i got it mounted with the new screws though it was great

Problem is i have to order longer screws to be able to lower the pickup enough so the strings dont touch it when i play beyond the 12th fret

Alternative is to raise the bridge but then the action will be too high

I wired it in and also did a two volume no tone mod while i was in there

The holes appeared to be filled with some sort of white filler but that crumbled away the second i tried to screw into it
