I was a little leary after seeing one too many brass colored aluminum key rings being passed off as real brass

These might be coated with an anti oxidizing coating like wax as it resisted oxidation at first

I ran one on the grinder to be sure it wasnt plated with brass

Brass is a soft metal and if you bend it too much it will not return to its original form as you can see in this picture
