Pros

Carlo rovelli has a gift for simplifying the difficult. This is exactly what these seven lessons deliver.

It goes by quick and entertainingly. And physics, well. It is very enlightening. It makes you feel you understand very complex topics in modern physics, which is no small feat.

This book gives a brief tour of modern physics from quantum mechanics to general relativity to the makeup of space and matter to the nature of time. From einstein's theory of relativity to quantum theory and more, the author provides easy access to th...  Read More

Cons

I do not understand the raving reviews this book received in the press. The book consists of 80 pages of very large font size that can be easily reduced to about 30 pages of regular font size. This is scarcely a book--far too short for the $10 it cost...  Read More

Anybody whose read a book or watched a documentary popularizing science will be familiar with the concepts in this publication

Price

The price is hefty for such a small book but i find myself reading it in its entirely once every few months

I was looking for some basic material to brush up on what i had learned years ago

The amazing talent to take the reader through the double slit experiment the though experiments and all the development of improvements in experimental technique made me think that this very short work would be equally spellbinding full of information told in a new way but after reading it once and browsing through it on a second reading i came up short in being able to even summarize why the book was written

Ill give it another read in a few months but this almost seems to have been written by an entirely different author altogether

Not overwhelming for someone who just wants the basics of physics

But lacks depth so it fits into the introductory framework of material
