I had recently purchased this particular water filter for my stainless steel whirlpool double door refrigerator and have yet to have any problems with this filter
This whirlpool 4396710 filter works just as good as some of the more expensive water filters that i have previously purchased in the past from sears
Push the button on the refrigerator to remove and then discard the old filter remove the protective plastic around the new filter and its shipping caps align the it to the refrigerators rail and then push it forward until it clicks in place then reset the filter button on your refrigerator and finally cycle at least 5 gallons of water through it and you will be ready to go
It worked good it filtered the water it work great direct replacement for the pur filter that came with my kenmore when my filter ran over its filtering date i searched for a filter to replace it right away
