Pros & Cons
Pros
Easy to set up and never fail. Works with alexa, google home, and samsung smartthings. Uses a mesh network within itself to help devices stay connected more reliably. No hub required to use the bulb's wi-fi.
Sengled edison bulbs are extremely bright. They seem a bit brighter than the common edison bulbs. These bulbs are so amber that they cast a warm orange glow.
Yes, they are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for in product and service. Cheaper then alternatives and still good control/color. I hope they start offering bulk for these.
Cons
The hub only functions while connected to ethernet (the hub has to be attached with a cable to your internet box) the app only recognizes a few of them. Lack of response from the company is also disappointing.
No one mans it. Clearly no one mans that either. Maybe it’s time to switch to philips hue instead.

The price looked good and i had some similar looking bulbs in my ceiling fans
Packaging/appearance
I like that i can adjust the brightness of the bulds by the app
Competitiveness
These are my fourth purchase of sengled bulbs
Nothing fancy about these except that they are quick to connect to my smartthings hub when compared to my wifi bulbs
Warning though all sengled lightbulbs are not zigbee repeaters
Original i was wanting to add colored lighting to my living room so i ordered these to go along with my sengled hub

The reason people prefer zigbee devices despite the higher prices and the requirement of a hub is because it is far more reliable

After the initial setup not much of the internet is needed after that and everything runs mostly local

Even when it is actively using the hub without the interconnection of the mesh network it still use a portion on the 2
