The quality of the picture will not be as crisp but it definitely will save you from getting a new tv for just an hdmi input

This unit answers this problem by converting the hdmi signal to either ntsc north america or pal europe

When you first plug it in you get color bars and then when it detects a signal you get the video

At first i thought i was right because it was just sitting at the colored lines but once my xbox one actually booted up it showed the splash screen
