Any amount of space talking microns here and the top edge of the spacer will end up being taller than the glass as it sits inside the edge

This is important for when you put pressure on the glass to let the sticky tape mate to both surfaces the glass and the frame it may not make perfect contact and you will end up with a loose fitting glass

Unfortunately in the process of pushing and twisting one sideof the fragile cable connector sheared off leaving the connection somewhat loose in the connector

If i were to do this again i would leave the original home button cable connected to the motherboard and remove it from the old digitizer by unscrewing the two screws of the home button assembly reusing the old home button cable avoids the problem with the fragile connector

The only nit to pick is that the screen was to have the 3m tape strips attached
