The chimney cap is a direct replacement for the original the height of the chimney made inspecting if closely impossible so i ordered this part on the assumption the original had rusted out after 20 years of use

Watch out for sharp edges on the punched out parts the bottom skirt in particular

The internal clips in my old cap had rusted away causing it to rest directly on the top of the vent pipe blocking it completely
