Over time the rubber that keeps the case sealed around the rechargeable port and headphone jack tend to erode but this is over 612 months of constantly pulling it out and back in

This may erode its ability to be completely waterproof but unless you plan to swim with it this thing is great note i have gone swimming with this but dont advise doing that all the time

Yes the sound is muffled but you have to expect that with a waterproof case

I like it a lot the best feature it has is that it is totally waterproof but when you put it in the case you can still hear the phone loud and clear it doesnt muffle the alerts and ringer volume

This is a well constructed case and protects my iphone 6 plus however i did not buy it for its waterproof capability
