There is an option for it to notify you when it detects water.
Comes with 3m adhesive and screw mounting choices. Works well. Nice little flood sensor, at a decent price.
Cons
No clear instructions for setting this up. Would not recommend.

Ps they have solved the dead battery problem referred to in other reviews by not including batteries despite the instructions which say they are included

I have gone to the basement where it is set up and tested it using a wet washcloth multiple times just to make sure it is still functioning properly and have had positive results every time

I will likely buy another to place behind my washing machine which is on the first level of my house rather than in the basement

I took a half dry wash cloth and touched it to the ends of the sensor and it set it off
