Outside its covered with a stretched coat of a thin matt plastic and the inside is lined with a thin coating of a textured nylon material there is no padding whatsoever

I certainly wouldnt expect it to protect anything inside it from a force such as a weight being placed on it

As i say the impression is that it is made of thin cardboard and it would crush quite easily
