They appear to be mainly for use in grocery stores where they can be hung from a bar and torn off as needed

Its a bit small i think for the size if you throw in a dirty diaper for example the plastic bag comes off the edge

It would definitely work if your trash can is smaller than average or if you had a rubber band around the can to hold the bag in place

But i also make sure there are no liquids in the compost and i put a paper towel at the bottom of the bin
