    Most electric strikes will not open under preload condition

    If there is a warped wooden or metal door or other condition that will put outward pressure against the strike latch the lock may not open smoothly

    It is not a deadbolt so use a class 2 or better door handle

    Note that to open the door after energizing the strike you simply push the door no need to turn the handle

    If it binds pull the door towards you briefly and then push to allow the latch to release
