    Our previous mag lock lasted 5 years so i replaced it with the exact same model to make for an easy install

    If you had this hooked up to a door or some other large object which would act as a heatsink i dont think youd have a problem with it getting too hot and burning anything up and you shouldnt have any problem even if it isnt attached to something large
