The sebo is very easy to get up and down stairs. I can set the canister on a stair and go about my vacuuming and it doesn't tip. The hose is narrower near the handle so if gets something caught in it you can get it out yourself.

We moved from a place with just hardwood floors and area rugs to a new house with hardwood floors and carpeted bedrooms and i found that my beloved suctiononly miele carina 13 years old and still going strong was not cutting the mustard on the carpets after just seven months i used a carpet cleaner and ended up spending a couple hours throwing away wads of fur and an astounding amount of wet cat litter even in rooms away from the litter box

So i read a bunch online and decided to go check out the mieles sebos and riccars upright and canisters at a local brick and mortar store didnt end up buying this on amazon

I consdered the shark liftaway but it has a short life expectancy and doesnt have replaceable parts and i didnt want it to end up landfill in a few years like my shark steam mop did
