The only upside to vermeil is that there is a precious metal underneath the gold but still the actual gold content is very tiny and vermeil is just as prone to wearing off quickly

Very cute necklace but its definitely costume jewelry even though its supposedly goldfilled which is usually a bridge between costume and fine jewelry
