The bag material is pretty high quality and will keep water out
It spent 4 hrs with the lower half in the water on a river float and worked just as it was designed
But some how we found the canoe 5hours later with the canoe upside down and everything in the dry bag was dry

I got it on prime shipping so i feel the price is worth it
Very well made and worth the price i use these for motorcycle riding and any other adventure keeps stuff nice and dry

Its not the materialits the design that may stop it from being a full on dry bag the rolly thingy you have to do to shut the bag is not a water tight solution

The act actual xl length is about 36 inches without the top rolled

This is my first dry bag and i have nothing to compare it to but i would recommend this bad for any use
