The first journal i received had some kind of manufacturing defect where the pages inside were dented in an odd way

I also tried a water brush on it accidentally grabbed the wrong pencil so i couldnt test watercolor bleedthrough and you can see that the paper warped slightly on the back but it held up much better than i would have expected since this is not watercolor or mixedmedia paper

So first two pictures are scrivwell front and back of the same page

The right 2 pictures use the same green and blue ink front and back if the same page of a well known competitor and you can see

In both the water caused some bowing in the paper

The ghosting is very light due to the thicker paper
