My 7 yr old first grader loves this game and the book. It's educational without being tiresome. My 7yo loves this game.
The game is simple and provides exposure to geography without the boring style of simply memorizing the states. It has early reading components built into the scrambled cards.
Cons
Definitely too 'babyish for my 12 and 14 yos. These are important pieces that were advertised in the description of what i purchased but not included.

The color matching between the state cards and the map really ought to be fixed

The go the distance cards that require you to determine who has a state card closest to the selected one can often result in some confusion and even arguing

The cartoony map isnt the worst thing in the world but it can make it difficult to be precise when discerning some of the finer details of state positioning and distances
