Pros & Cons
Pros
The scottys gear head fits the yakattack track mount that came on my kayak. Perfect for a kayak, and works great with my garmin striker 4.
Ordered a sounder mount too. I loosen it, lock the mount in and then tighten what i can out of it to make it secure.
The product works amazing and is very sturdy. But i give it a 4 because the shipping was awful.
Cons
Scotty fishin' buddy transducer mount is not a good quality product. The mount is flimsy and the screws that afix the plate to the boat are not hardened.
The bottom piece that attaches to the transducer is flimsy and cheap. Its flimsy so the transducer flops around under the water causing interference on screen. It's way too fragile and tiny!

I had to mount it slightly below the top of the kayak so arm had to be fully extended to get deep enough in the water
