Like the paper towel it now takes longer to saturate under the faucet maybe 30 seconds blasting water on the sleeve

When i walked home in a light rain within ten minutes raindrops stopped beading up on the outside and began to soak in so by the time i got home about a 15min walk the jacket was fairly wet and i was a little chilly

I would not use it on a tent because water carrying a lot of momentum like big raindrops is basically unaffected by this type of coating and goes right through the fabric
