Pros

Easy to install. Much faster and easier to install than backer board. Will prevent cracking of the tiles and grout when the plywood expands and contracts.

It is a little expensive but schluter is good. Much cheaper here than menard or lowes. Ditra is well worth the money.

Delivered to my door. Came in undamaged, on time. Weekend diy warriors.

Product works as described for the most part. If you chose to use it, this is what a first timer to this product should be aware of. Even helps with leveling.

I feel confident the combination of the sealer and the ditra will keep the tiles protected from the cracks and the efflorescence. The job seems so professional with the ditra under tile. I tile on this with full confidence it's going to perform well.

Seriously rethink this as an option. Seriously.

Easy to use cuts out time and tools needed to install backer board

Follow the instructions and use modified thinset on top of any woodbased subfloors then unmodified on top of this product

My original floor was installed on 12 inch plywood that was screwed onto 34 inch plywood every 6 inches

You can lay tile immediately but it is probably best to wait 24 hours
