Pros
Replaced a 30 year old kwikset mechanism and knob. Schlage has great customer service and will answer any questions about their products and also does well in honoring their warranties. Hardware is sturdy and action is smooth.
Door has a 5 inch offset for doorknob. Was able to replace the lockset on my 5inch offset front door. Would recommend this dead bolt latch as a replacement for older locks.
Cons
Due to internal friction forces the internal spring does not provide enough force to push the bolt out reliably. This means you cannot fully tighten the screws on the plate in the door.

Included hardware in schlage sets will not accommodate longer offsets

I would suggest matching the finish of your hardware if possible i ended up with satin nickel knobs but brass coloured latches

When i went to my big box hardware stores and asked for a latch with a 5 inch setback they had never heard of such a thing

I realize that one is a fair amount of time but i have to say its probably because there is one internal part toward the end that is plastic
